Solar Water Heating Systems – Effectiveness and How They WorkWith fossil fuels on the verge of depletion, many renewable sources of energy are increasingly put to use, both to save fossil fuels and to lower the production of gases that contribute to global warming. One such energy source is solar energy and there have been many inventions in order to properly harness this energy. A very good example is solar water heating system. While you may be using many other ways to warm or heat water for personal use, nothing can beat the efficiency of solar system for this purpose. But before exploring the advantages, let’s see the components and working of solar system.

First and foremost are solar panels. These are collectors of heat radiation and are fitted on roof for maximum radiation collection. Usually, you will come across 2 types: evacuated tube system that is actually a row of tubes (glass) and consist of absorber plates. Other type is flat panels which consist of absorber plate that has a transparent cover. Then, there is heat transfer system which is responsible for transferring the collected heat to water. Finally, there is hot water cylinder that is the storage place for heated water.

The solar heating system is basically very safe as well as efficient as you need not worry about any harmful chemicals or electricity usage. Furthermore, the heated water can be stored and used later on for various purposes. You will also not be contributing to global warming as there is no carbon dioxide gas emitted from this system. It is a one-time investment that will go a long way in saving money that you may otherwise be spending as electricity bills or cylinders etc. With threat of depletion of various energy sources, probably every one should divert to equipments that operate on solar energy, so that we can save our fossil fuels and give our next generation the same.
