Solar energy which comes to the Earth distributes the next way: 6 percent is reflected by earth, 17 percent is reflected by clouds, 8 percent is vanished in atmosphere, 19 percent is absorbed by steam, dust and so on, 4 percent is absorbed by clouds and 46 percent is taken up by ground.

Geothermal energy is one more promising branch of renewable energy that is widely used by people nowadays. It is based on using the heat of earth to produce electricity and heat energy. But even on the ground surface we may find places that are really hot. For instance, this is Iceland and Yellow Stone in the United States.
